Dinesh John MD, MMM
Trained as a hospitalist, I have over a decade of experience in clinical leadership and healthcare quality, safety and value. I have held positions in leadership such as Assistant Vice-President for Quality/Chief Quality Officer at Upstate University Healthcare System and Medical Staff President at the VA Medical Center., Syracuse, NY I have been instrumental in improving the overall quality of care at both state and federal healthcare organizations, moving the needle on such key metrics as hospital length of stay, readmission rates and standardized mortality ratio. I also have extensive experience with federal grant-writing, and have secured approximately $1 million in federal grant monies during the course of my career.

Nice to 'meet' you! My expertise spans several areas-as a palliative care specialist, an internist and a utilization management specialist. In additional, I am a passionate clinical educator, and hold an academic appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at SUNY-Upstate Medical University.
I received my medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed my residency in internal medicine at Brooklyn Hospital Center, an affiliate hospital of Mt. Sinai Medical Center. I have certifications as a Clinical Documentation Specialist and as a Physician Advisor in Utilization Management.
