As Project Lead, I conducted a deep dive to discover root causes of inefficiencies standardized processes, and engaged staff about the reasons why changes were needed. These efforts resulted in a reduction in hospital length of stay by 35%.

The financial impact of these project was estimated to be over $30 million/year.

DECREASING STANDARDIZED MORTALITY
Setting: Teaching Hospital
As Project Coach, I worked with physicians to develop a documentation deficiency cognitive aid and auditing tool. An awareness campaign helped physicians to adopt best practices with clinical documentation, and hospital Standardized Mortality Ratio (SMR) decreased by 19%.
